Wire chair
One of the highest achievements of modern design in the middle of the last century
The Wire Chair is an icon of modern design, recognized as one of the highest design achievements of the middle of the last century, the Wire chair, designed by Harry Bertoia in the early 50s’, found fame in an industrial design that broke the mold of what a chair should be, or rather, what a chair should look like.
The Wire Chair was thought more as a sculpture than as a piece of furniture and that is why, at the beginning, it was only done manually, given the proven skill of its author in the sculptural field. This chair not only responds to the functional demands of the object, but also penetrates into the explorations of form and volume, key concepts for the modern movement of which Bertoia was a genuine adept.
The chair is made of chromed or black lacquered steel and is complemented with a black imitation leather cushion.
If you need other finishes, we also have on our website the Black Lacquered Wire Chair.
