Wire kitchen stool
Perfect to give an industrial air to the atmosphere of your kitchen or bar counter
The Black lacquered Wire Stool is a design icon, recognized as one of the highest achievements of modern design in the middle of the last century, the Wire chair. Designed by Harry Bertoia in the early 50’s, he found fame in an industrial design that broke the mold of what a chair should be, or rather, what a chair should look like.
The Wire Stool was thought more as a sculpture than as a piece of furniture and that is why, in its beginnings, it was only done manually, given the proven skill of its author in the sculptural field. Not only does it respond to the functional demands of the object, but it also penetrates into the explorations of form and volume, key concepts for the modern movement of which Bertoia was a genuine adept.
The stool is made of black lacquered steel structure and is complemented with a black imitation leather cushion, being perfect for a 90 or 100cm high bar.
